Expert education and support is essential to help manage diabetes and prevent complications from diabetes. Our certified diabetes educators include a Registered Nurse and Registered Dietitian. The goals of the program include helping people living with diabetes and their families learn to live well with diabetes.

Services
Group education and individual visits:

• Adults new to diabetes
• Starting insulin
• Pregnancy and diabetes
• Prediabetes
• Education awareness events for community groups
• Education and training for health care professionals 

Referrals
You can refer yourself to the Diabetes Education Centre by calling 705-746-4540 x1303, or your doctor or health care professional can send a Referral Form (please see attached document below) to fax number 705-773-4609. We will call you to arrange an appointment once we have received the referral.
