Foundation donors hit $4M for EHR project
WPSHC Foundation Executive Director Lynne Atkinson recently transferred another $200,000 in donations to West Parry Sound Health Centre in support of the Electronic Health Records (EHR) installation.

Paramedics honoured for outstanding bravery
The provincial government has honoured two Parry Sound District EMS paramedics with the Ontario Award for Paramedic Bravery. This award is given to paramedics who have displayed exceptional acts of courage — performed on the job or off-duty — in the face of grave, personal danger.
Last week, Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, presented the awards to 13 paramedics in a ceremony at Queen’s Park.

The Engine Room of Change at the health centre is firing on all cylinders!
In the first six months of this fiscal year, the Foundation has transferred $1,094,408.33 to the health centre.

CT replacement project begins this month
Health care services in our community continue to be improved thanks to the generosity of West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation donors.
Patients and visitors will start to see changes this week as WPSHC begins a month-long process to install the new GE Revolution Frontier CT scanner. Patient access to computed tomography (CT) scanning will continue uninterrupted during the removal and installation work taking place inside the health centre’s Medical Imaging Department.
A temporary mobile CT unit will be placed outside the Emergency Department.
