ONE Initiative Newsletter - May edition
The ONE Initiative is a transformational project in northeastern Ontario to improve patient care through the implementation of a single electronic health information system (HIS) across the region’s 24 acute care hospitals. We are a partner in the project’s first phase, referred to as WAVE 1: North Bay Regional Health Centre, West Parry Sound Health Centre, and the Sault Area Hospital. The remaining 21 hospitals— WAVE 2—will follow.

Nursing Week celebrations at West Parry Sound Health Centre culminated at Friday’s annual Nursing Award presentation. Nursing leaders were joined in the ceremony by Carling Township Mayor Mike Konoval and CEO Donald Sanderson.

Important step in development of Electronic Health Record
The Boardroom at West Parry Sound Health Centre was temporarily renamed the Transformationroom as EHR Project Wave One partners and builders participated in Integrated Testing of the new regional system.

Delivering Patient and Family Centred Care
On Wednesday 1 May the Ontario Medical Association and health care organizations across the province will be recognizing the amazing contributions made by Ontario’s doctors. We're joining in the celebration at West Parry Sound Health Centre.
We are also recognizing the vital contribution made by our staff in Laundry Services. Everyone's contribution is important in our delivery of Patient and Family Centred Care.
